NEW DELHI: A brawl in a west Delhi nightclub overdue on Sunday over the choice of songs being played ended in the DJ stabbing a health club owner to demise and smashing a lager bottle at the head of a girl, leaving her injured. The 25-year-old DJ was once arrested from the spot.
It all began 3 hours into the birthday party that the deceased man, Vijaydeep (34), and 8 of his friends have been attending in Raftaar, the nightclub in Punjabi Bagh. At 11.45pm, DJ Yuri alias Deepak Bisht announced the following tune would be the remaining of the evening. Hearing this, Rajinder, one of those partying with Vijaydeep, signalled the DJ to play every other monitor. Getting no response, Rajinder entered the DJ’s console and repeated his request.

“The DJ snubbed me and asked me to return to the dance flooring. When I refused, he flung the cap off the pinnacle and opened my patka, and then a scuffle happened,” Rajinder mentioned. Vijaydeep rushed into the console to intervene, and then the brawl unfold on to the dance flooring. A few bouncers began combating Vijaydeep and his workforce. Vijaydeep was once taken to sanatorium the place he was once declared useless. The woman was once discharged from a private sanatorium in Moti Nagar after treatment.
Police have sealed the nightclub and will possibly cancel its licence. A case below various sections of homicide was once registered against the DJ on the Punjabi Bagh police station, and investigations have been on, DCP (west) Vijay Kumar mentioned.
Police mentioned that Vijaydeep owned two gyms — one in Vishnu Garden and every other in Fateh Nagar. The statements of Singh’s friends have been taken.
