Hindu Munnani spokesman murder: NIA raids five homes in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided 5 houses right here in connection with the Hindu Munnani spokesman C Sasikumar homicide case.
The NIA teams raided the houses of Arif of Sugunapuram, Ajish of Bilal Estate in GM Nagar, Bipin Rehman of Selvapuram, Mohammed Ali of Vellakinaru and Saddam Hussain of Thudiyalur. Officials mentioned these 5 males had spoken to the accused within the Sasikumar homicide case.

The NIA has telephone name records that that steered that these males had spoken to the accused.

The raids began at four.30am. The officials checked all paperwork and different records to determine if these males have been a part of any banned teams and in the event that they have been related to any of accused males.

After finishing raids at his home, the crew took Arif to Kannampalayam the place he was operating.

Last week, a circle of relatives from Selvapuram petitioned the city police commissioner alleging torture by NIA officials. Febin Rahman mentioned he had been forced to make statements and subjected to torture by the officials.


Sasikumar of Subramaniyampalayam was hacked to loss of life by a four-member gang on September 22, 2016 whilst he was returning home on his motorcycle.


The special investigation division of the CB-CID arrested Syed Abudhakir, 29, of KK Nagar in Saibaba Colony, S Saddam Hussain, 27 of GM Nagar in Ukkadam, the alleged mastermind, Mubarak, and S Zubair of GM Nagar Ukkadam, who have been all participants of the Popular entrance of India (PFI).


Abudhakir and Saddam Hussain are out on bail whilst Mubarak and Zubair are lodged within the Salem Central Prison.
