LUDHIANA: Police have arrested an employee of a gym for seeking to have unnatural sex with a seven-year-old boy in town.
The boy mentioned in his police complaint, “My father runs a store close to the gym, the place the 17-year-old accused works. On Saturday night, I was enjoying close to my father’s store when the accused came to me. He asked me to play with him and took me to a room in the gym. There, he attempted to have unnatural sex with me.”
On listening to the boy’s cries, his folks rushed to his rescue.
“On seeing the boy’s folks, the accused fled the spot. They then referred to as up the police,” mentioned a cop.
Division six police station officiating SHO sub-inspector Varinder Kumar mentioned, “The accused, who hails from Bihar, used to be arrested close to Cheema Chowk on Sunday morning. He has been sent to Juvenile Observation Home. His scientific, X-ray (to determine his age) and potency assessments are being carried out at civil sanatorium.”
The accused had been working on the gym for the previous six months. He also lived there. He knew the daddy of the boy, a Class II student, police added.
A case below sections 377, 511 (attempt to devote unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered.
