KOLKATA: Experts at IIT-Kharagpur have designed a loose cellular app to assist users quantify and fight pressure. The app — Dhyanandroid — is derived from the words ‘dhyan’ (meditation) and android (as it's designed for smartphone users).
The app has two variants that might be introduced via June 10. While android users can obtain it from Google Play Store, those with iPhones too can avail it via App Store.
According to the developers, this app will assist users become emotionally strong and produce despair beneath regulate. It has two parts — self-evaluation and instructive meditation. One can test their pressure level via following instructions, lasting one, two or 5 mins. The answers equipped via the users to a few main questions calculate the stress level in real time. It additionally assesses the user’s cognitive performance, emotional intensity and aggression level. The complicated level creates a digital simulation via thermal imaging, vibrations and track to make users really feel they're in a meditation room. The next step permits users to follow instructive meditation — graded breathing and simple yoga techniques — to succeed in a stress-free state.

Routray advanced the app with a group of researchers — Anirban Dasgupta, Anushree Basu, Shubhobrata Bhattacharya, Subhasmita Sahoo, Rajlakshmi Guha and Manorama Nayak.
The group could also be operating on a second app, Smart Yoga Monitor (SYM), that may guide users step by step to master more than a few asanas. “The app will let you nearly input a yoga room via unobtrusive imaging and guide you throughout the asanas. Moreover, the app has sensors to hit upon faulty actions and alert users,” added Routray. SYM app could be to be had via June-end promised Routray.
