BAGALKOT: As in keeping with the Hindu calendar, nowadays is Badami Amavasya and according to well-liked belief, believers in North Karnataka area don’t get started any new work in this no moon day.
But for voters in Badami, the place leader minister Siddaramaiah (Congress) is up against MP B Sreeramulu (BJP), this amavasya, named after Badami, is an important day. While each events’ workers are dreaming of their chief’s win, commoners are satisfied as they will get either a current CM or possible deputy CM as their MLA.
“There is not any connection between Badami the town and Badami Amavasya. This Amavasya has the similar title all over the place the arena. It was named as Badami in historical days when Badami the town was called as Vatapi or Vatapipura,” said Subhas Koti, an astrologer from Gajendragad.
