MYSURU: This empty village which falls in Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's homeland boasts of just 40 electorate. However, Aralikatte Hundi, falling beneath Siddaramaiah's constituency Varuna which has 40 electorate, is in call for amongst political parties.
Mahadeva Swamy who grows banana plantation is one of the two families and four individuals who keep right here. The drought-hit Aralikatte may haven't any inhabitants, the villagers having migrated to other places looking for paintings operating as daily-wage labourers, but birthday celebration candidates do expect people to return back to their village to vote on May 12, as each and every vote is thought of as treasured. In search of treasured electorate, they are giving freebies like loose bus facility, lunch and a lot of other issues.
Ten years back, Aralikatte consisted of 40 families and had more than 100 electorate, but now lots of them have modified the address in their voter ID cards.
While people left the village as a result of famine and dip in groundwater, more than 300 acres of land are lyinng unused. Still people celebrate S Siddeshwara Annual Festival all through the season of Diwali in the Aralikatte village.
Now, many voters have agreed to return back and vote. For 40 electorate, PDO has made arrangements for balloting in the village only.
