CHENNAI: The police have cracked the five-month-old homicide of a person in Ponneri through arresting his ex-roommate who switched at the mobile phone of the sufferer ultimate week, unaware that the quantity was being tracked.
The arrested man Suresh admitted to police all the way through interrogation that he murdered his roommate Vijay all the way through a drunken brawl and buried the body in the yard of their space.

Based on his confession, police exhumed the skeleton of the sufferer in the presence of tahsildar Sumathi and sent it to the Ponneri executive hospital.

The police said Vijay, 20, from Krishnapuram in Vellore, was hired at an iron smelting unit in Ponneri. He had rented a space in the similar locality which he shared with Suresh. On December 15, Vijay went lacking from his space, following which his mother lodged a grievance at the Ponneri police station.


Soon after the police started their investigation, Suresh additionally went lacking. Vijay’s phone was additionally untraceable. The police could no longer make a breakthrough in the case and determined to track the telephone via its IMEI quantity.


The phone had been switched off until ultimate week when the police in any case struck pay filth through finding that the telephone was getting used near Ennore.
