The civic authorities have already decided not to accommodate lifeless animals at Dhapa from neighbouring municipality areas. In fact, the KMC conservancy division became down such a request that came from south Dum Dum municipality on Saturday. “We are struggling to accommodate animal carcass which are delivered to Dhapa from across Kolkata. We can’t take more from different municipal areas. This isn't all. The KMC conservancy division has adopted several precautionary steps to chase away the carcass racket risk. A KMC conservancy division respectable said that security has been beefed up behind Dhapa dumping ground. The explanation why for beefing up security has been a porous border that the dumping ground stocks with a couple of villages located adjoining to the ground. “This porous border has become a nightmare as the KMC security guards at the dumping ground can’t prevent a section of rag pickers from the locality to enter into the realm the place animal our bodies are dumped. That is why we have decided to accentuate the vigil in this particular space via using more security guards,” a civic respectable said.
This aside, the civic frame has decided to shop for bulldozers to ensure that the animal our bodies get buried neatly in the area earmarked for at Dhapa dumping ground. “We need to ensure that no parts of the animal carcass which are introduced at the dumping ground are left on the surface. We will buy bulldozers in order that frame parts of the lifeless animals are buried correctly leaving no probabilities for the beef hunters to dig out any parts,” said a KMC conservancy division respectable.
The civic frame will even buy more cars for carrying lifeless animals to the dumping ground. “Requests to hold lifeless animals are increasing. Amid such a scenario, we will be able to buy new cars to cater to the increasing calls for. These cars will be parked at the central storage at Entally and be pressed into service to areas across the city,” a KMC respectable said.
