LUCKNOW/BHUBANESWAR: After years of relentless pursuit, CBI on Tuesday arrested Lucknow-based jeweller Amit Agarwal(37), who was once at the run after allegedly killing his wife and two kids in a seashore hotel at Puri in December 2013.

Officials of CBI’s Kolkata zone traced Agarwal in Indore on May 27 and took him to Bhubaneswar on Monday. Agarwal was once discovered running beneath a contractor in Indore the usage of a different identification. CBI located him after monitoring the telephone numbers of his family, relatives, friends and acquaintances. “We have arrested him and produced him in a courtroom at Bhubaneswar. We will take him in custodial remand for further interrogation,” mentioned a CBI officer.

Bodies of Amit’s wife Ankita Bansal, daughter Vaani and son Divyanshu were discovered from a hotel room in Puri on December 15, 2013.
