Markets dive again, Sensex comes close to slipping below 35,000-mark

NEW DELHI: Equity markets, gripped through detrimental sentiment amid rising global crude oil prices and political uncertainty in the state of Karnataka, made every other false start on Friday morning. The benchmark indices have finished in the red in the closing 3 days.

30-share BSE Sensex opened with a minor 6 point-loss at 35,143.59 but extended its losses virtually right away and was checking out the mental mark of 35,000. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty too, was dropping 0.25 according to cent in early industry.

All sectoral sub-indices with exception of Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank had been in the red on Friday morning. Analysts mentioned, Friday being the closing day of trading in the week, traders may choose to play safe as both riding factors- oil worth and the turmoil in Karnataka - may escalate over the weekend.

Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, Yes Bank and Tata Steel had been a number of the best performing stocks early on.
