‘Mati’ trailer echoes the pain of Bengal’s partition

Directed via Leena Gangopadhyay, ‘Mati’ weaves around a ancient match and the disaster of partition. It narrates its aftereffects of the partition on the society. The recently released trailer provides a glimpse of a story beyond borders. Watch the professional trailer right here:

The social drama revolves around an Indian girl Meghla, who at some point discovers that her grandmother was brutally murdered via a depended on attendant in their ancestral home in East Pakistan, now Bangladesh. Many years after the tragic incident, Meghla comes to a decision to go back to Dhaka on the lookout for her roots. But she faces the assassin's circle of relatives who now occupies her ancestral home. The shooting has been done in some prominent puts of Bangladesh and West Bengal.


Paoli Dam performs the central personality Meghla and this would be the first time she will share display area with Adil Hussain. Aparajita Adhya, Sabitri Chatterjee and Monami also essay key roles in the film. ‘Mati’ will free up on July 1.
