‘Mom killer’ wants to attend her death anniversary

MUMBAI: The 21-year-old son of a police inspector arrested for allegedly murdering his mother at their Santacruz (E) flat last year has sought courtroom permission to wait a ceremony for her first dying anniversary to be held on May 12. The prosecution is predicted to publish its answer on Tuesday.

On May 23, 2017, Siddhant Ganore allegedly stabbed his mother 12 instances on her neck, chest and hand after which wrote in blood subsequent to her body: “Tired of her, catch me and cling me”, adopted by way of a smiley emoticon.


Ganore has been in judicial custody since his arrest from a lodge close to Jodhpur railway station two days after the homicide.


Ganore’s earlier plea for bail had been rejected by way of the periods courtroom. Ganore’s defence had even sought aid on the grounds that he's mentally disturbed. However, the prosecution pointed out that Ganore wouldn't have fled to Jodhpur after the homicide had he been innocent. The prosecution additionally pointed to the message written in blood to turn that Ganore was once acutely aware of what he was once doing. The prosecution said Ganore was once receiving hospital treatment and help in prison.
