HYDERABAD: Only a few days after ladies-only coaches have been inaugurated in trains plying on the Miyapur-Nagole stretch of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR), commuters pointed out that males can now be seen travelling in those coaches.
L&T Metro Rail Limited officers, replying to at least one such criticism raised by way of a feminine commuter on social media, tweeted, “Men in females coaches don't seem to be allowed regardless of top/non-peak hours. Announcements are being made to this impact and body of workers are despatched to check as smartly train commuters.”
Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) managing director N V S Reddy, stated police personnel manning metro stations will now be ‘put on the process’ to ensure that males do not trip in the ladies-only coaches. Signs and displays to this impact have been post at operational metro stations in the city.
