Mercury may touch 43°C mark in 2 days: IMD

AHMEDABAD: India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted that most temperature will hover around 43°C for the next two to a few days within the state, especially in north Gujarat region.
“Maximum temperature may be very prone to be within the range of 41°C to 43°C all the way through subsequent two to a few days over North Gujarat region and in portions of Saurashtra, Kutch and South Gujarat region,” IMD forecast on Monday.


According to IMD, southwesterly to westerly winds prevailed over the state due to which most temperature dropped through a few notches. Mercury remained under 40°C mark in 11 puts out of total 22 monitored through the Met centre, Ahmedabad.


Rajkot was once the hottest position within the state where most temperature soared to 41.8°C on Monday. Another the town of Saurashtra region, Amreli, was once the second-hottest position with 41.6°C most temperature.


Ahmedabad witnessed sweltering heat as temperature hovered around 41°C and humidity stage ranged between 67% and 16% on Monday. Maximum temperature remained zero.five degrees under commonplace at 40.nine°C and minimum temperature was once 25.7°C, zero.6 degrees under commonplace.


IMD forecast said that town might witness 42°C most temperature on Tuesday.
