COIMBATORE: The city police and the officials of the social welfare division on Monday rescued a 17-year-old girl, who was once married off to a 27-year-old guy per week ago.
According to police resources, households of the bride and groom had arranged the wedding reception in a marriage corridor at RS Puram. “The officials got a tip-off in regards to the tournament on Monday night time and visited the wedding corridor. They requested the family members to produce the documents to turn the age of the girl. The girl had completed Plus Two and was once most effective 17 years outdated,” a police officer mentioned.
