In his playing days, Ricky Ponting used to be recognized for his beautiful drives during the covers. On Sunday night even though, the former Australian captain needed to pressure a golf cart while in search of cover from the thunderstorm that hit NCR. Ponting used to be in the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon in conjunction with some of the gamers from the Delhi Daredevils crew to take part in a star golf event.

The crew – which is in the middle of their IPL 2018 marketing campaign – used to be all set for a day of respite and relaxation on the golf path when the thunderstorm hit and spoiled their plans. What used to be scheduled to be a nine-hole game had to be reduce quick in beneath half-an-hour because the path used to be closed due to thunder and lightning.

In the temporary time that they had on the fairways, gamers like Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant, Jason Roy, Trent Boult and Liam Plunkett managed to swing their fingers and play one hole. The gamers were joined by means of some contributors of the golf club – together with former Indian cricketer Murali Kartik. But the rain and thunder were unable to dampen the cricketers’ festive mood. “We will now salvage the night by means of simply relaxing and enjoying ourselves at this afterparty in Gurgaon. No reason why we shouldn’t nonetheless have amusing,” said Ponting.
