On stretches where traffic cops aren’t deployed, motorists pick shortcuts

GURUGRAM: Driving down the unsuitable aspect towards the go with the flow of traffic in this town is a bane. One can easily spot intense arguments and scuffles breaking out on roads at issues across the town where other folks most often power at the unsuitable direction. Commuters continue to ply in unsuitable lanes at rotaries and beneath flyovers, anywhere traffic police officers are not deployed. Residents seem to be dropping the fear of having a price ticket from traffic police, leading to greater frequency of traffic rule violations. Two-wheeler riders are among the most common violators, as they appear to grasp they gained’t get caught.

Paras Hospital to AIT Chowk

On the stretch between Paras Hospital in Sector 43 and AIT Chowk, commuters coming from Paras Hospital will have to ideally take St Thomas Marg and then turn left towards Golf Course Road to succeed in AIT Chowk. However, Jaspreet Singh, resident of Central Park 1 in Sector 42, stated, “A significant coincidence is ready to happen right in entrance of the Genpact construction. Vehicles coming from St Thomas Marg take a right turn and transfer towards the Genpact construction to take a brief lower to AIT Chowk — a stretch of 200m at the unsuitable aspect — where they face traffic coming from the Sector 53-54 Rapid metro station — to satisfy traffic coming at the right towards AIT Chowk. This reduces their go back and forth via 2.2km, as they don’t need to go back and forth until Global Foyer mall for a U-turn, which is three.1km from St Thomas Marg, and then back to AIT Chowk, any other three km.” If stern steps are not taken, a head-on collision is sure to happen quickly, he added.
