One booked for sending objectionable messages to woman on FB

GURUGRAM: An organization secretary has filed a criticism alleging she and her family won objectionable and defamatory messages from a Facebook account. A case of stalking and identity robbery has been registered.

The complainant (29), a resident of Palam Vihar, works with a personal corporate in Delhi. In her criticism despatched to the Gurugram police commissioner on May 8, she stated a person named Dimpal Sharma despatched her an objectionable message with a morphed photo of her by way of Facebook Messenger on January 15. Sharma also despatched the similar message to her husband’s aunt.


“She forwarded the message to me for my information. The message is totally false, obscene, objectionable and defamatory,” the girl stated in her criticism.


An FIR has been registered towards unidentified individuals beneath Section 354D (stalking) of the IPC and Section 66C (punishment for identity robbery) of the IT Act at Palam Vihar police station the similar day.
