Reddys rise, but lieutenant Sreeramulu poll vaults

BENGALURU: Once perceived as a lackey of the infamous mining barons of Ballari, the Reddy brothers, the outstanding rise of Ballari MP and BJP candidate from Molkalmuru and Badami B Sreeramulu is one for the fiction books. Such has been his, and the Reddy brothers’, rehabilitation into BJP that in the 2018 elections, seven of their friends and family got tickets.
On Tuesday, whilst four lost, Sreeramulu (Molakalmuru), G Somashekara Reddy (Bellary City) and G Karunakara Reddy (Harapanahalli) won. Having risen on the again of the Reddy brothers, as a close aide and good friend to tainted mining czar G Janaradhana Reddy, Sreeramulu these days has transform an indispensable element in the BJP scheme of things to reign in Karnataka.

With adolescence as an added issue, at 46, Sreeramulu derives his energy on his Valmiki or Nayaka community numbers. Comprising 7-Eight % of the state citizens, popularly known as ‘Ramulu’, BJP needs the Ballari strongman to be the face of the following generation taking into consideration there are not any rivals to stake claim for the community management.

When questioned about experiences of Sreeramulu likely to transform the deputy chief minister, BJP national president Amit Shah neither showed nor denied it.

His recognition some of the Valmiki community was evident in the BJP fielding him from Molkalmuru in Chitradurga, outdoor Sreeramulu’s stronghold of Ballari district. Further, he was asked to contest towards Siddaramaiah from Badami. Sreeramulu’s recognition runs throughout no less than 3 districts of Ballari, Chitradurga and Gadag, that have a prime focus of scheduled tribe voters.
