CHENNAI: DMK running president MK Stalin and 19 MLAs belonging to his birthday party and Congress were detained by means of police outdoor the state secretariat on Thursday.
Stalin and other MLAs were scheduled to take part in the trade advisory meeting of the Assembly as the session will get started on May 29.
But, on arrival at the secretariat, the MLAs boycotted the meeting held at Assembly speaker P Dhanapal's office and instead demanded to meet chief minister Edappadi Okay Palaniswami. The CM's office stated simplest 5 MLAs, including Stalin would be authorised to meet the executive minister.
