NEW DELHI: Stay are compatible, play video games but don't forget the normal sports activities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned on Sunday, highlighting the function of physical and psychological health for all-round construction.
In his monthly 'Mann ki Baat' radio broadcast, he mentioned he was overwhelmed by the reaction to his 'are compatible India' marketing campaign.
"For me, it's heartwarming that the captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli has included me in his challenge... I too have accepted his challenge. I believe this is gainful and this kind of a challenge will inspire us to be fit alongwith others, as well," he mentioned.
But at the same time he expressed concern over "fading away" of traditional game corresponding to 'kho khho', 'pitthu', 'lattu' and 'gulli-danda' "to the point of extinction". "It will be the loss of the childhood spirit," he mentioned and recalled a poem which talked of end of childhood and the video games and the fun associated with it.
"It is crucial that today schools, neighbourhoods and youth congregations come forward and promote these games. Through crowd sourcing, we can create a very large archive of our traditional games," Modi prompt.
He mentioned the movies of these video games will also be shot, outlining easy methods to play them together with the necessary laws and regulations.
Animation motion pictures, he prompt, can also be made in order that the younger generations can see and play for themselves.
On the 'Fit India' marketing campaign, the top minister mentioned, "The more we play, the more we inspire the country to come out and play."
He mentioned individuals are sharing movies of 'health challenge' on social media and everybody is getting connected with the Fit India marketing campaign.
"People from the film fraternity, from the world of sports, common citizens of the country, members of the armed forces, school teachers or even those toiling in fields are building up a crescendo 'Hum Fit toh India Fit'... 'If we are fit, India is fit'," he mentioned.
He mentioned video games are not just video games; they teach us values for lifestyles, corresponding to, atmosphere objectives, increase decision, growing team spirit and fostering mutual co-operation.
"And then, there is no prescribed age limit for participating in them. From tiny tots to the elderly, when we all play these games together then the term 'generation gap' disappears," he mentioned.
