CHENNAI: Two development employees died and two others had been injured when a precast concrete slab fell on them at a construction beneath development in Chetpet on Wednesday evening.
At least 10 other employees escaped unharmed. The police wondered the website safety supervisor and sought copies of the construction permission licence and other documents from a Bengaluru-based firm this is setting up the construction.
The deceased, who police recognized as Raja, 30, of Tiruvannamalai, and S Gunasekar, 23, of Nannilam close to Thiruvarur, had been running on the second one floor of the construction on East Spur Tank Road when the incident befell. The bodies had been sent for post-mortem to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital the place P Manikandan, 27, of Vilva Nagar in Cuddalore and C Arul, 25, of Villupuram had been also taken. Arul was once later referred to the Government General Hospital.
The employees were staying at a makeshift tent close to the paintings website. Around 10 other folks had been at the spot when the police arrived.
