Coimbatore: M Sabitha, a Class XII pupil hailing from a small village Kaaliyur near Mettupalayam, wouldn’t have ever dreamed of a trip to Japan. But these days she is all set to fly to Tokyo, because of excellence in academics and her passion for science.
Sabitha is a part of a delegation of 33 scholars and 6 lecturers from across the nation decided on for the pan-Asia formative years alternate programme in science, also known as SAKURA alternate programme in science. She is among the six scholars decided on from Tamil Nadu.

“This is the happiest moment in my existence. In my family, i'm the primary person to go back and forth out of the country. I'm very scared to take a flight, however I'm happy that my trainer will probably be with me,” Sabitha said. Aiming to be a doctor, science has at all times fascinated Sabitha, a pupil of Velliangadu Government Higher Secondary School.

They would also attend a lecture by way of prof Ryoji Noyori, nobel laureate in chemistry.
