SRINAGAR: Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) workforce, together with an officer, and four civilians were injured in three grenade blasts that took place in Srinagar within a span of few hours on Saturday. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed accountability for the assaults.

Three CRPF males — assistant sub-inspector Rambachan Yadav and constables Tarak Math Gosh, Krishna Ram Yadav — were injured when terrorists hurled a grenade at CRPF’s 82 Battalion at Fatehkadal. Three civilians — Ghulam Mohammad of Kawdara, Abdul Majid of Safakadal and Taja Begum of Fatehkadal — were additionally wounded in the blast. The injured were hospitalized.

Srinagar SSP Imtiaz Parray mentioned the troops were deployed in the area for maintaining legislation and order.
