A-320 Neo engine trouble back for IndiGo

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo Airbus A-320 Neo (VT-ITH) with 174 passengers on board had to reject taking off for Port Blair from Kolkata on Saturday morning following an engine snag, in the most recent case of trouble with Pratt & Whitney engines powering the Neos.


Confirming this, an IndiGo spokesperson said: “Flight 6E-972 enroute Kolkata - Port Blair was once held at Kolkata on Saturday morning. During departure, a minor engine fault was once famous by way of the pilot.”


“In passion of minimising the prolong and passengers inconvenience, pilot decided to deplane the passengers, and in the meanwhile another airplane was once arranged. All passengers have been re-accommodated and the flight departed for Port Blair. VT-ITH airplane is recently being checked by way of our upkeep crew,” the airline added.


DGCA feedback have been sought on the most recent trouble with the PW engines powering the A-320 Neo and the story shall be up to date once they achieve this.
