5 bookies arrested for betting on Eng-Aus ODIs

LUDHIANA: The CIA-I has busted a racket of bookies with the arrest of 5 accused for making a bet at the ongoing series of 5 one-day matches between England and Australia in the wee hours of Friday, whilst 3 accused are nonetheless at massive. The absconding accused are Shalu, Shammi, and Bittu. Deputy commissioner of police (DCP-Crime) Gaganajit Singh stated Amardeep used to be the kingpin of the racket, whilst Harvinder used to be his key partner. Police, in the past due hours of Thursday, conducted a raid on Omaxe flats, and arrested the accused for placing bets on matches.
