Activists seek DVAC inquiry into projects of forest department

Coimbatore: In the wake of allegations of misappropriation of finances within the implementation of tree cultivation in personal land scheme, environmentalists have sought probe into different tasks of the forest division.
“The division implements plantation tasks all the way through the 12 months. A division implements no less than five tasks. So, possibilities of misappropriation of fund are prime in almost all of the tasks,” stated Mac Mohan, an environmentalist.
