TRICHY: A 17-year-old girl committed suicide in Trichy on Wednesday evening as she was once allegedly disappointed over her failure to transparent the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The deceased has been identified as Ok Subhashri of Thiruvalluvar Avenue.
According to the Kollidam police, Subashri, who had completed Class XII in a private faculty in the city, was once allegedly disappointed when she got here to know about her NEET score. She had scored 907 marks, out of 1200, in Class XII state board examinations and 24 marks, out of 720, in NEET.
Around 10pm on Wednesday, she locked herself in one of the vital rooms in her house and hanged herself from the ceiling.
