Anthony Bourdain's book imprint to end

The information of Chef and writer Anthony Bourdain's dying at age 61 shook his fans international on June eight, 2018. Since 2011, Anthony Bourdain Books launched a number of non-fiction titles through Ecco Books, an imprint of HarperCollins. And now, after his dying, The Associated Press reported that Anthony Bourdain Books "will be discontinued after the remaining works under contract come out."
According to publisher HarperCollins' web page, Bourdain's imprint publishes "books by people with strong voices who are good at something and speak with authority."

Some of the books published through Anthony Bourdain Books come with L.A. Son through Roy Choi, Prophets of Smoked Meat through Daniel Vaughn, Pain Don't Hurt through Mark Miller, Grand Forks through Marilyn Hagerty, You're Better Than Me through Bonnie MacFarlane, and WD-50 through Wylie Dufresne. Ecco has additionally published 4 of Bourdain's books — Kitchen Confidential, A Cook's Tour, Medium Raw, and Appetites.


After Bourdain's dying, Anthony Bourdain Books will now post 4 extra titles, namely-- Prisoner through Jason Rezaian, Stealing Green Mangoes through Sunil Dutta, and Unleashed and We Fed an Island through Jose Andres. A fifth untitled guide through Jonathan Gold will also Ecco Books, but it is not confirmed if it will be published under Anthony Bourdain Books imprint.


Meanwhile, Ecco has two final books through Bourdain, Points East and World Travel, which might be published through them. No further books acquired after Bourdain's dying might be launched through Ecco and HarperCollins.


Responding to the scoop of his dying, a press unlock through Daniel Halpern, Ecco President and Publisher stated, "I’ve known Tony as an author and friend for many years. He not only revolutionized the memoir genre with his groundbreaking and iconic work Kitchen Confidential, he supported emerging voices and chefs with his imprint Anthony Bourdain Books. His death is a great personal tragedy. Our thoughts are with his daughter and family at this difficult time."


The world-famous chef and TV presenter, Anthony Bourdain has written a number of books together with novels, essay collections, and non-fiction titles. He shot to fame in the year 2000, with his bestselling guide Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, followed through an essay collection in 2010 titled Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook.
