Australia PM to make national apology to sex abuse victims

SYDNEY: Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will ship a countrywide apology to child sex abuse victims in the government's response to a long-running inquiry that has heard allegations towards many government and private establishments and prominent folks via 5 years of hearings.

The apology will probably be made to abuse survivors, victims and their families on Oct. 22 after public consultations. Turnbull mentioned Wednesday that Australia should 'do the whole thing in our power to honor the bravery of the thousands of people that got here ahead.'

Turnbull's government will adopt 104 of the 122 recommendations made to it by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. One of the proposals being adopted establishes a countrywide workplace for child safety, every other comes to joining a redress payments program.

Other recommendations are into consideration.
