LUDHIANA: Police arrested an auto-rickshaw motive force with heroin at Gill Chowk on Saturday night time.
Ludhiana Special Task Force (STF) in-charge Harbans Singh said, “An auto was stopped near the electricity place of work at Gill Chowk. During checking, a purse was recovered from the ownership of its motive force — Sanjiv Arora, 24, a resident of Guru Nanak Nagar. The bag contained a talcum powder bottle stuffed with 303gm heroin.”
During questioning, Arora advised the police that he were peddling drugs for the previous 3 years.
“He advised that he procured drugs from a Nigerian in New Delhi and sold those in Ludhiana and within sight villages at steep rates. We will search his remand from court docket to cull extra details about drug suppliers and his clients,” said the STF officer.
Arora has been booked beneath sections 22, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act at Shimlapuri police station.
