CHENNAI/DELHI: A Delhi-bound Air India flight wearing 131 passengers used to be compelled to return to the town airport today after struggling a bird-hit 20 minutes into its journey, the nationwide service stated today.
All passengers are safe.
The flight AI 440 used to be airborne for almost 20 minutes prior to it suffered the bird-hit, "forcing" it to return to the town airport, an Air India spokesperson stated.
"All passengers are safe and the aircraft is being inspected by Air India engineers to assess the damage caused due to the bird strike," he stated.
The stranded passengers had been later accommodated within the airline's next flights as well as in the ones operated via personal carriers, he added.
