Communal violence rocks Vadodara again

VADODARA: Communal violence rocked the walled town spaces but yet again overdue on Tuesday night when mobs of 2 other communities pelted stone at every other.

Trouble first broke out in Panigate space and soon it unfold to Yakutpura and Fatehpura where the rioting mobs even attacked the law enforcement officials. One state reserve police (SRP) guy won accidents while a citizen too was once attacked near Sarasiya Lake by way of some unidentified persons. No arrests were made but.


“Mobs of different communities first pelted stones at every other in Panigate. The law enforcement officials reached there and took the placement beneath keep watch over but after some time hassle broke out in Yakutpura and Fatehpura too. Our teams reached Yakutpura where they got here beneath the assault from the mob,” mentioned D G Sosa, police inspector, City police station.


PSI Arun Mishra, who got here beneath the assault, even reportedly pulled out his provider revolver to keep watch over the rioters. A SRP jawan, Sanjay Rao, who was once on duty, suffered accidents after somebody pelted a stone at him. The police lobbed three teargas shells to disperse the mobs. Eight citizens of Yakutpura were booked in reference to the incident. Also, a separate grievance of attempt to homicide has been registered at the City police station against about four unidentified persons who attacked and injured Kapil More near Sarasiya Lake when he was once on his strategy to his house.


When requested the explanation in the back of the communal clashes, Sosa mentioned that it was once a fallout of the communal riots that took place near Nyay Mandir on June 16 throughout Eid. A procession taken out by way of Rajput Karni Sena for celebrating birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap had caused the trouble on the night of Eid celebrations. Some contributors of the procession changed the direction and reached Dudhwala Mohalla where stone pelting started. A police grievance filed in reference to the incident mentioned that contributors of the procession began stone pelting and shouted provocative slogans. “That incident can have resulted in the communal stress that took place on Tuesday night,” Sosa mentioned.


The police have increased patrolling in the walled town to avert further stress.
