Discom asks officer to coax farmers to give up free power connections

PATIALA: With even the rich farmers within the state showing little interest in giving up the power subsidies, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has requested its sub-divisional officers to coax no less than one rich farmer in their jurisdictions to voluntarily surrender the agriculture energy freebies.
As in keeping with the newest round issued by the PSPCL, it has requested its assistant engineers and assistant government engineers to work on this.
