Ex-cop’s son tries to con police aspirants, held

NAVI MUMBAI: The 24-year-old son of a retired cop has been arrested for allegedly not easy Rs 1 lakh from two women by means of promising them jobs in the police department. The accused, Avinash Dhamse, had promised the ladies from Pune who had been placed on a recruitment wait checklist after clearing bodily and written checks, said an official from the Navi Mumbai crime department. Dhamse, whose father used to be an assistant sub-inspector, had informed the ladies that he would use his influence to be sure that they might be favoured in the recruitment procedure.


He used to be arrested from his Ghatkopar place of abode on Tuesday night time on a criticism by means of Aditi Kakade (18).


Dhamse revealed the title of a railway police body of workers who, he claimed, supplied him cell numbers of waitlisted aspirants.
