KOLKATA The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation has began off with the method to get a hold of fixed fare chart at all designated rickshaw stands in Salt Lake.
The civic government have set up a panel headed via corporation’s MMIC Devashis Jana that can glance into this whole process.
According to civic estimates, there are best round 1,200 authorized rickshaw pullers plying in the township underneath the native rickshaw unions but there are hundreds more plying with none valid documents. The civic government would not have any reputable figure as to exactly what number of rickshaws are plying in Salt Lake and surrounding areas with proper licence.
“We will probably be coordinating with the civic government and can practice the directions. We will discuss with the civic government to get a hold of fixed fare charts,” stated Karunamoyee rickshaw stand union secretary Nirapada Manna.
Earlier remaining month, Bidhannagar mayor Sabyasachi Dutta had made up our minds to form the panel and had warned the rickshaw pullers union to act correctly following the incident wherein a 25-year previous advertising and marketing government was once allegedly molested, abused, dragged out of a automotive and compelled to touch the feet of a rickshawpuller after a controversy over the fare from Karunamoyee crossing to a tea joint opposite Bidhannagar College close to City Centre.
