AHMEDABAD: Four males drowned these days within the Mahisagar river near Madhvas village in Gujarat's Mahisagar district whilst any other member of their workforce is missing, police said.
The deceased have been a part of a group of 8 revellers who had gone to the river for a tub on Sunday, Lunawada police inspector T D Machhar said.
They it sounds as if drowned as they failed to gauge the depth of the water, sources said.
"We have managed to fish out the bodies of four of the five persons while the search is on for the fifth person," Machhar said.
He said the deceased belonged to other villages in Malpur taluka in Aravalli district.
The officer said our bodies of Dhruv Patel (20), Kishan Patel (19), Brajesh Patel (22), and Krupal Patel (21) have been fished out.
