TRICHY: A 45-year-old man was arrested in Saliyamangalam in Thajavur district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday for sexually assaulting his 15- year-old daughter.
Based on a complaint filed by the girl, the Pudukkottai all-woman police arrested the person. A case was registered towards him below sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012.
The man has two daughters. His elder daughter alleged that he had sexually assaulted her over the last three hundred and sixty five days, particularly after the dying of her mom. The woman advised the police that her mom had committed suicide as she may just not bear the insult from his father who doubted her fidelity.
However, the person denied the costs saying that he have been consoling his daughter after the dying of her mom, however she had misunderstood his aim.
