KANPUR: A man stopped the second marriage of his spouse and got her would-be husband arrested at Santoshpur Unwa village of Etawah on Sunday.
The drama used to be witnessed during a wedding function when the person, claiming to be the husband of the bride, created ruckus and stopped the ceremony. He allegedly thrashed the groom at the marriage venue whilst claiming that she used to be getting married to every other guy without divorcing him.
Amid chaos, Chaubiya police reached the venue, stopped the ceremonies and arrested the groom and his family. Reports stated Sukhveer, 28, a native of Karhal space of Mainpuri, reached the 25-year-old woman’s village for the marriage ceremony when one Jitendra, 30, claiming himself to be her first husband, appeared at the scene and began arguing with the groom and his family members.
When the girl’s side claimed they didn't know him, the person in conjunction with his family created ruckus. The groom even attempted to flee, however may just no longer as the person got hang of him and thrashed him.
Eyewitnesses stated the person and his family members additionally thrashed the groom at the Chaubiya police station. Chaubiya SHO Satish Chandra Yadav showed that there used to be a dispute over the second marriage. “Having learnt that his spouse used to be planning to marry every other guy, Jitendra approached us seeking justice. He confirmed their wedding footage to us. We have arrested the groom and a few others,” he added.
