Metro's Mundka-Bahadurgarh stretch to open soon

NEW DELHI: The extension of the Delhi Metro's Green Line to Haryana's Bahadurgarh is more likely to get started public operations from June 24, the Delhi Metro said on Friday.

"Commercial services are likely to commence on the Mundka-Bahadurgarh metro corridor from 4 pm on Sunday," a Delhi Metro Rail Corp authentic said.

As in keeping with sources, the road might be flagged off by way of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing, while Union urban development minister Hardeep Puri and Haryana leader minister Manohar Lal Khattar will participate in the inaugural rite in the Haryana part of the phase.

The DMRC however refused to substantiate these main points.

The 11.18-km-long phase would be the extension of Mundka-Kirti Nagar/Inderlok Green Line which used to be started in two stages in 2010 and 2011.


The hall has seven increased stations in total, of which 4 are in Delhi and 3 in Haryana. These are Mundka industrial Area, Ghevra, Tikri Kalan, Tikri Border (Delhi) and Modern Industrial Estate, Bus Stand, and City Park (Haryana).


This would be the 3rd metro route on complete network to offer access to Haryana to the commuters. Violet and Blue are two different strains which can be extended to the neighbouring state, going as much as Faridabad and Gurugram respectively.


Once the hall is operational, the entire Inderlok-Bahadurgarh phase will grow to be 26.33 km long.
