BENGALURU: In but some other instance of apathy at executive hospitals, a 70-year-old villager who got here for treatment at KC General Hospital in Malleswaram, was once forced to crawl out of the power as the team of workers failed to provide wheelchair assistance to him.
The incident happened round Tuesday midday when the patient, hailing from Kammaghatta village close to Doddaballapur in Bengaluru Rural district, arrived at the medical institution in the hunt for treatment for an ailment in his legs. Unable to walk on his own after bandaging, the patient started crawling towards the exit. Though medical institution team of workers had been walking round, none extended assist.

Dr R Bhanumurthy MS, medical superintendent, KC General Hospital, said the patient was once affected by non-healing ulcers on his leg. “I did examine the patient. He took a bus to town and got here walking on his own to the medical institution. After bandaging was once completed, he was once made to sit on a table. Our team of workers took phone numbers of his family members to tell them about his situation. But when they left the place, the patient started crawling towards the exit. He didn’t ask for wheelchair assistance. Our medical institution has sufficient wheelchairs. However, I can habits an inquiry and begin motion towards the team of workers if they are discovered guilty.”


“Later in the day, his family members arrived and said he's mentally unsound and has the dependancy of behaving surprisingly,” he added.


Bhanumurthy said masses of sufferers come to the medical institution on a daily basis and it’s tricky for them to stay tabs on each patient.
