LUCKNOW: The love for its dogs for the Uttar Pradesh Police is unbridled.

The order was once issued by Rajendra Pal Singh, DGP (financial offences wing), UP Police on June 12. The officers within the panel are R K Vishwakarma, Aditya Mishra and KCP Kumar.

The UP police is enthusiastic about maintaining a separate batch of infantry patrol dogs in addition to guard dogs together with German Shepherd and Belgin Malinois.


According to UP police, the canine squads in 2017 helped remedy at least 259 legal cases and equipped necessary clues to the drive together with homicide cases in Bahraich, Kaushambi and Varanasi. These dogs also came in to hand all over the robbery of animals together with farm animals in Allahabad, Meerut and Saharanpur.


The UP Police stated that it has already planned to purchase a batch of 16 more dogs, whilst some other 20 are getting trained at BSF’s National Training Centre for Dogs.
