KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee on Thursday urged Amit Shah to pay more consideration to his party's govt on the Centre, after the BJP leader slammed the TMC dispensation in West Bengal for "unleashing violence" on political competitors.
Chatterjee stated Amit Shah will have to be "more worried" in regards to the BJP-led govt on the Centre and in states the place meeting polls are due, instead of "looking at" West Bengal.
"There is a saying that empty vessels sound much. Amit Shah's speech in Purulia is also a reflection of that saying," the TMC leader stated.
Amit Shah had lashed out at West Bengal leader minister Mamata Banerjee at a rally in Purulia for "unleashing violence" on her political competitors. He stated the sacrifice of BJP staff would now not move waste and the party would win 22 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats within the state within the subsequent common election.
He stated the folk of West Bengal will have to dethrone the TMC govt if they need to stop illegal immigration from Bangladesh.
"We have seen how the ground is slipping out of BJP's hand in Gujarat and other states," Chatterjee stated, relating to the Gujarat election, which the BJP received with a discounted mandate after a bitter ballot campaigning against the Congress.
He stated the folk of the country will defeat the "anti-people" BJP govt within the subsequent Lok Sabha election.
Chatterjee stated BJP's politics of dividing other people alongside religious strains is not going to paintings in West Bengal and the folk of the state "will defeat the sinister designs of the BJP."
"We are ready for elections as the people of the state are with us. The central government pursues the policies of depriving the states ruled by opposition parties and the same treatment has been meted out to the TMC government in Bengal during the past four year of Modi's regime," he stated.
Referring to Amit Shah's claim that the BJP would win 22 Lok Sabha seats, he stated the party was once "day dreaming".
"It will loose the two Lok Sabha seats - Asansol and Darjeeling (which BJP had won in 2014) this time. They should stop day dreaming," Chatterjee added.
