PM inaugurates Mundka-Bahardurgarh Metro line

NEW DELHI/BAHADURGARH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mundka-Bahardurgarh metro community through video convention on Sunday morning. Haryana CM Manohar Lal together with Union minister Hardeep Puri attended the inaugural ceremony at town park metro station in Bahadurgarh.


Modi, while addressing the gathering, mentioned, "Bahadurgarh is also known as the gateway of Haryana and today it has also become gateway for metro. Many people commute between Delhi and Haryana on a daily basis and with the inauguration of Bahadurgarh-Mundka metro network, people will be able to commute easily between the two states."



Comparing the metro services of foreign nations, Modi mentioned that Delhi metro is one of the finest metro networks globally.

"The government is working on several metro projects across 12 cities along with manufacturering of metro coaches. The government has changed the procurement policy and have ensured that 70% materials required should be manufactured in India. India is getting ready to provide metro coaches to other countries also," mentioned Modi.

Modi pointed out that the metro community has helped in reducing pollution, visitors issues together with providing easiest services to the people.

"The government is committed to provide smart solutions to the issues for 'New India'. The government has started several projects to improve the roadways, railways and airways. The better the services, it will improve the quality of life and also improve the trade and commerce," mentioned Modi.

Modi flagged off the metro from Bahadurgarh through a virtual video link between PMO and Bahadurgarh.



Haryana CM Manohar Lal mentioned, "It is a great honour for Haryana today with the inauguration of Bahadurgarh-Mundka metro network. The metro network has been developed with a cost of over Rs 2,000 crore, which will provide an easy way of commute for the public."

Lal additional mentioned, "We have received several proposals to rename the metro stations and we will submit it to the central government."

With the opening of the 11.2km Mundka-Bahadurgarh stretch of Green Line, Delhi Metro makes its 3rd foray into Haryana — connecting Bahadurgarh to the center of Delhi.


Every exchange teach from Mundka will travel to City Park in Bahadurgarh and a frequency of round 8 mins will probably be maintained between Mundka and City Park.


The Mundka-Bahadurgarh stretch is an extension of Delhi Metro’s Green Line from Inderlok to Mundka and additional seven stations has been added to the Green Line — all on the increased corridor. While 4 of the brand new stations lie in Delhi (Mundka Industrial Area, Ghevra, Tikri Kalan and Tikri Border), 3 stations fall beneath Haryana’s jurisdiction (Modern Industrial Estate, Bus Stand and City Park).


Haryana already has over 21km of metro line beneath the DMRC community, with each Faridabad and Gurgaon covered beneath it. With the opening of this section, Delhi Metro’s enlargement in Haryana has been expanded as much as 25.8km.
