Seer: Centre hasn’t rejected plea on Lingayat religion

Belagavi: The Central government hasn’t despatched again the advice made by the previous Siddaramaiah led Congress government in search of religious minority standing to Lingayat neighborhood, stated Siddaram Swami of Naganuru Rudrakshimath.
The seer told newshounds on Friday that some fringe elements are spreading lies that the centre has rejected the advice. “We have checked with the office of chief secretary and get affirmation that no such construction has took place,”he stated.

“While Akhil Bharatiya Veershaiva Mahasabha chief Shamanuru Shankarappa welcomed the centre’s transfer, pontiffs of the Panchapeethas celebrated with joy. All these are trying to venture the Lingayat motion was a failed exercise and trying to demoralize those that are fightiung for the cause,” he stated.

Siddaram Swami warned that any adversarial transfer by the Centre would affect the possibilities of the BJP within the next Lok Sabha elections. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve the advice, adding, “I hope the PM, who knows about, will approve the suggestions.”


Stating that the Lingayat motion was apolitical, Lingayat seers will meet on Bengaluru on June 19 to talk about the future course of action. “There is a plan to take a delegation to PM Modi to persuade him about the facts of Lingayat religion and a decision about this is able to be taken within the assembly,” he stated.


The seer rubbished reports about Lingayats now not supporting Congress celebration within the fresh assembly elections and stated the celebration received 79 seats because of the enhance of Lingayats.


He additionally urged the JD(S)-Congress coalition to induct M B Patil and Basavaraj Horatti within the cupboard.
