Tirupur: A patient and two others have been killed in an coincidence after a truck hit the ambulance in which the trio used to be travelling on Tuesday.
L Jothiraj of Nallur used to be admitted in a non-public sanatorium in the town as he had respiratory problems. In order to get advance treatment, he used to be taken to any other sanatorium in Oddanchattram in Dindigul in a non-public ambulance, a police officer stated.
When the ambulance reached Avinashipalayam on Coimbatore-Trichy Road, a truck which used to be heading to Karur, hit the automobile. All seven other people together with the ambulance driving force have been significantly injured. Jothiraj’s spouse Priya, 47, and his relative Gnanaselvam, 43, died on the spot.
The police along with the help of the general public rescued others and sent them to govt and private hospitals in Tirupur.
However on Wednesday, the 50-year-old Jothiraj succumbed to accidents whilst the others are present process treatment. Avinashipalayam police registered the case.
