TIRUNELVELI: Abdominoplasty and diet restrictions have helped a 50-year-old lady lose 45kg within eight weeks of being admitted to Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital.
T Selvi from Lines Town in Tuticorin was admitted to clinic in the first week of April.
The lady, wife of a fisherman named Thomas, is a mom of three and has grandchildren.
Senior assistant professor in the clinic K Kannan stated the girl suffered from extreme obesity due to hereditary, altered meals practices and lack of exercise.
“The homemaker has been suffering from acute obesity for seven years. The massive stomach putting beneath her knees made her day-to-day activities like dressed in clothes, sitting, mendacity down and even strolling a burden for herself and her family.
