ALLAHABAD: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Tuesday cancelled the Essay and Hindi papers of Provincial Civil Services (Mains) Exams-2017 after improper question papers have been dispensed to applicants in one of the crucial examination centre.
As in line with the schedule, Commission is slated to organise General Hindi paper in morning session and Essay in 2nd session. But in Government Intermediate College examination centre aspirants got Essay question papers rather than Hindi.
The applicants demanded protecting checks as in line with scheduled however they have been asked to present the Essay papers leading to protests through aspirants. Later they boycott the papers.
In view of agitation on the centre, Secretary, UPPSC, Jagdish has announced cancellation of checks.
"Both the papers have been cancelled but remaining will be held as per the time table. Candidates will be informed about the schedule of Hindi and Essay papers through proper channel," he informed TOI.
UPPSC is establishing the PCS (Mains) Exam – 2017 in more than a few centres at Lucknow and Allahabad from June 18 to July 6 for recruiting deputy creditors, deputy SP, horticulture officers amongst others.
The checks are being held in two shifts. Morning shift is from nine:30am to 12:30pm while afternoon shift is from 2pm to 5pm.
