TIRIPUR: A 67-year-old woman was once killed when her hut caught fire near Kangeyam here on Wednesday.
The sufferer, Ok Deivathal of Chennimalaipalayam in Keeranur, was once staying on my own in the thatched construction after her husband gave up the ghost years ago, police said.
“The hut caught fire on Wednesday afternoon and spread to any other construction additionally due to robust wind. Kangeyam fire and rescue services and products workforce reached the spot and extinguished it quickly,” a police officer said.
The firemen found Deivathal’s charred frame. Police suspect that the hearth broke out by chance when Deivathal was once cooking. The frame was once sent to the Kangeyam Government Hospital for put up mortem.
Deivathal is survived via a daughter.
