Won't contest on BJP ticket again: MP Saini

CHANDIGARH: Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini on Thursday dominated out contesting subsequent elections on BJP price ticket. Interacting together with his supporters of Loktantra Suraksha Manch in Karnal, Saini mentioned he would no longer contest the elections, even supposing the birthday celebration fielded him once more from the same seat.

"BJP came to power as 90% voters of the backward classes (BC) voted for it with a hope that it would protect their interest. I will not accept even if party gives me the ticket to contest parliamentary or assembly elections. Instead of protecting their interests, this party has taken a stand against the backward community at all places, just to please a particular community. We don't do politics of interests but politics of welfare, hence we will contest from our own party," mentioned Saini.


Saini mentioned his new political birthday celebration would got here into existence in August with a large rally. "We had been asking BJP to throw me out. It is not just me but there could be many more people who are unwilling to contest from this party as well as from the Congress and INLD," he mentioned.


For the past three years, Saini has been up in hands towards addition of more castes, including Jat and others, within the reservation quota for the opposite backward classes (OBC). He had overtly opposed Jats' agitation for quota. He had additionally advocated quota for all on economic foundation.


Referring to the Congress, Saini mentioned the birthday celebration had ruined the OBCs in Haryana. "This party came to power 12 times in Haryana, but has failed to put the state on the path of development. Similarly, everybody is aware about the system of INLD where even MLAs are unsafe," he added.
